Piedmont Health Services and Sickle Cell Agency will sponsor its 1st Annual “Kaci's Sickle Cell Run/Walk” on Saturday, October 20, 2018. The walk is held in honor of Kaci Epps who transitioned from her earthly life to her eternal home on Feb. 24, 1997 at the age of 19. Kaci was diagnosed with sickle cell disease at an early age. She graduated from Thomasville High School and continued her education at Davidson County Community College, where she was enrolled in the nursing program. This is a great opportunity to increase sickle cell disease awareness, and raise funds to support our patients and their families.
PHSSCA thanks her family (parents: Patrice Epps Carr and David Sanders, sister: Keri and grandparents: Mr. & Mrs. Tony Coleman) for coordinating this event.
With your support PHSSCA can continue to provide support services for all individuals living with sickle cell disease in our service area. Come out and join us for a fun and healthful event while supporting the Sickle Cell cause!
