Dear Parents and Guardians
Piedmont Health Services and Sickle Cell Agency will sponsor its 42nd Annual Sickle Cell Summer Enrichment Camp at Camp Carefree in Stokesdale, North Carolina. Our camp will begin on Sunday, August 2, 2026, and end on Friday, August 7, 2026.

We will take a limited number of campers this year. Campers must be 6 – 16 years of age, have sickle cell disease, and reside in North Carolina. If you are interested in your child attending, please complete the application by July 1, 2026.

The health form must be signed by a physician, physician assistant, or nurse practitioner. Please make sure you attach a copy of your child’s immunization record. Send the completed camper application and immunization record to camp@piedmonthealthservices.org. Incomplete applications will not be accepted after July 1, 2026.

Please understand PHSSCA’s number one goal is camper safety. Our organization does not tolerate bullying, violence, disrespect, or using foul language. Failure to avoid these behaviors will result in a camper being sent home immediately. Campers are not allowed to have cell phones, iPads, or tablets while at camp. Parents and guardians are welcome to call the Camp Director to check on campers during the week.

If you have any questions please call the Camp Director, Monica Summers, at 336-886-6261

Thank you for allowing your child to attend our summer camp. We look forward to sharing time with him/her this year.
